I’m a journalist, author, nonfiction editor, consultant, and writing coach, but in conjunction with my own personal writing projects I also offer my services as a conscious creation coach, maggid (Jewish inspirational speaker), and a speaker/teacher. I focus much of my writing on transforming empty rituals and prayers into meaning-full and spirit-full practices, creating sacred space, learning how to give and receive using a Jewish mystical (Kabbalistic) approach to the Law of Attraction and conscious creation, encouraging Jewish women to see themselves as priestesses, practical spirituality, and generally living life fully. My work falls under the the heading of “practical spirituality and human potential and personal growth from a Jewish perspective” but it spans the lines of any particular religion or spiritual belief.
I also write and speak about boys in the dance world – specifically how to help them over the obstacles they face emotionally and psychologically from age 8 through 15. I have a blog about this at www.mysoncandance.wordpress.com.
My business, Pure Spirit Creations (www.purespiritcreations.com), has an editing, writing and writing coaching division, CopyWright Communications (www.copywrightcommunications.com). Through this business, I write articles for publication and edit nonfiction books for other authors. I also coach writers and offer a variety of writing-related services including proposal consultations and editing. You can go to www.copywrightcommunications.com and check out my writing samples. My book teasers and that sort of thing are all posted at www.purespiritcreations.com.
In addition to all the work-related things that make me what I am or give me my identity, I also am mother to 16-year-old, Ariel, an artist, budding costume designer and synchronized swimmer, and 14-year-old, Julian, a dancer (ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, break dancing, and tap). When I’m not working, I serve as their personal taxi driver, life coach, advocate, and scheduler.
Plus, I am wife to Ron, my soul mate and life partner. We live in the Santa Cruz Mountain in Northern California between Santa Cruz and Los Gatos. I write from an office that has a big window that allows me to look out through the redwood trees to Monterey Bay.
